Sales Support Intern

Position Summary

The Sales Support Intern will work closely with the sales, project management and finance teams to help streamline operations, improve data accuracy, and support day‑to‑day activities that drive revenue growth. This internship provides hands‑on experience with CRM systems, sales processes, customer support, and cross‑functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, proactive, and eager to learn about sales operations in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Operations Support

  • Assist with maintaining and updating CRM records (e.g., leads, accounts, opportunities).
  • Help prepare sales reports, dashboards, and performance summaries.
  • Support the team in tracking pipeline activities and monitoring key performance indicators.

Administrative & Documentation Support

  • Assist in creating and updating proposals, quotes, and sales presentations.
  • Organize, audit, and maintain sales materials and shared libraries.
  • Help streamline processes through improved templates and documentation.

Customer Support & Communication

  • Respond to basic customer inquiries or route them to appropriate team members.
  • Support the onboarding process by preparing welcome packets and documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, demos, or follow‑up tasks.

Project-Based Work

Depending on the internship duration and performance, the intern may also:

  • Participate in CRM cleanup or data quality improvement projects.
  • Help develop onboarding or handoff checklists.
  • Contribute to competitive research or market analysis.
  • Support sales events, webinars, or campaign coordination.

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong time‑management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, Dynamics, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Coursework or experience in sales, marketing, or customer service.
  • Interest in sales operations, business analytics, or revenue enablement.
