Human Resources Intern
This 12–16 week paid internship, running May through August/September, offers an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented and motivated Human Resources Intern to gain meaningful, hands‑on experience within our three‑person HR team. We are seeking a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field who is eager to apply classroom knowledge in real‑world HR settings.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver service to our team members that is in alignment with WMCU’s mission, vision, and core values
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, résumé review, and conducting phone screenings
- Sit in on interviews and observe interview best practices
- Support new-hire onboarding and orientation activities
- Help maintain accurate and confidential HR records and documentation
- Assist with employee engagement programs and team member events
- Participate in HR projects such as process improvements and policy reviews
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team
- May involve occasional travel to any of our WMCU locations using the company vehicle
What You'll Bring:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information responsibly
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and LinkedIn
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and genuine interest in HR
- Must have reliable transportation to the workplace(s)/job location(s) and a valid driver’s license.
