Hiring Immediately – $24 + weekly bonuses from $150-$360
Full-time & Part-time
Help us gather signatures in San Diego to qualify a local measure that protects essential services like emergency response and disaster preparedness for our communities. From now through May, our team will engage directly with voters at high-traffic community locations to collect signatures and build support. This is face-to-face petitioning at public sites, not door-to-door canvassing or fundraising.
This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in the following areas: Leadership, Communication & Advocacy, Community Outreach & Engagement, Campaign Work, Public Policy, and Social Enterprise.
Get paid well! Canvassing positions start at $24/hour. Team Lead positions start at $26/hour. We offer paid training, sick pay, and performance based bonuses. Most staff earn $50-$85 in daily bonuses. Part-time and full-time positions are available.

Location: San Diego & Carlsbad, CA

Canvasser Responsibilities ($24/hr):
- Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
- Deliver a clear campaign message and collect complete petition signatures from voters
- Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
- Follow the campaign’s safety protocols
Team Leader Responsibilities ($26/hr):
- The Canvasser Responsibilities plus:
- Manage a small group of canvassers in the field by checking in with them periodically throughout the day and debriefing with them at the end of the day
- Ensure each canvasser has all the materials they need to be successful
- Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work
The ideal candidate:
- Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
- Strong communication skills; you should enjoy working with other people and be willing and excited to speak with everyone
- Hard worker who will stay motivated to engage as many people as possible
- Open to new challenges and interested in building their campaign skills
- Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community
- Prior canvassing, petitioning, or field experience preferred but not required
