Human Resources Intern

Purpose of the Job:
The Human Resources Intern will support the HR team with daily administrative and operational tasks while gaining hands-on
experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist with job posting creation and maintenance across platforms
- Screen resumes and coordinate candidate interviews
- Support new hire onboarding logistics and documentation
- Help prepare offer letters and onboarding materials
- Maintain employee files and ensure documentation accuracy
- Assist with HRIS data entry and reporting
- Support benefits enrollment processes and employee communications
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives and event coordination
- Support training and development activities
- Support data analysis related to recruiting, retention, benefits, or engagement metrics
- Contribute to special projects aligned with department priorities
- Other projects and duties as assigned


Education:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field


Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical and Working Environment:
- Working Hours: General office hours, typically 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with flexibility for business and personal needs.
- Working Environment: Work usually performed in an office setting and distribution center with noise level typical of
most office environments with telephones, forklifts, personal interruptions, and background noises.
- Tools and Equipment Used: Computer, tablet, e-mail, phone, and other standard office equipment.
- Travel: No regular travel.

- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs on occasion; digital dexterity and hand/eye to operate equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator and standard office equipment. Ability to effectively communicate
with customers, suppliers, or employees remotely and in person; ability to travel by airplane or automobile.
