IT Support Specialist
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The IT support specialist internship is designed to enable learning and personal development for those that have a passion to pursue a career in Information Technology.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Deploy and configure standard operating system images on laptops
- Conduct a full asset inventory of Hummel laptops, docking stations, and monitors
- Assist with helpdesk dispatch and tier 1 support of tickets
- Supports and adheres to agency goals and objectives to develop IT Department.
- Provides excellent teamwork to all individuals within the agency.
- Other job duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
- Service oriented with a willingness to learn.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Strong verbal and writing skills required.
- Working knowledge of computer software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook programs.
- Ability to use general office equipment, including a computer, calculator, typewriter, fax machine, copier, and telephones.
Education or Experience
- Interns must be entering their junior or senior year of college. Completion of two or more years of college is required.
- Actively interested in or pursuing a career in the information technology sector.
- Ability to work during regular business hours (8:00am-5:00pm).
Working Environment/ Physical Activities
- General office work environment.
- Requires regular use of arms, hands, and fingers.
- Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, reach with arm and hands, stand, walk, stoop, talk and hear.
- Required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- Travel to different office locations as needed.

This position may have access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Electronic Protected Health Information (ePHI). An employee will be responsible for following the guidelines of the HIPAA Confidentiality Agreement.
