Study Hall Proctor
Notre Dame Preparatory is seeking a responsible and attentive full time Study Hall Proctor to supervise students during scheduled study hall periods. The proctor helps maintain a quiet, structured environment that supports student learning and productivity while upholding the mission and values of Catholic education.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise students during study hall periods to ensure a quiet, respectful, and productive environment.
- Enforce school policies regarding behavior, attendance, and technology use.
- Take and report attendance accurately at the beginning of each study hall period.
- Monitor student activity and provide assistance with basic questions or directions when appropriate.
- Ensure students remain on task with academic work.
- Report disciplinary concerns or unusual situations to school administration.
- Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
- Support classroom teachers by proctoring make up quizzes and tests
- Support classroom teachers by occasionally substituting
- Support the overall mission and Catholic identity of the school through respectful interaction with students and staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; some college preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and supervision skills.
- Ability to maintain a structured and disciplined environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and attentive to detail.
- Ability to interact positively with high school students and school staff.
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic, Marist education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with teenagers in a school or youth setting.
- Background in education, youth ministry, or classroom support roles.
- Practicing Catholic preferred but not required; candidates must support the Catholic mission of the school.
