Position Description:

  • The Manufacturing Operator I / Lab Technician I role is an onsite position located in Eugene, OR.
  • This opportunity begins as a contract assignment with strong potential for full-time conversion, based on individual performance and business requirements prior to the end of the contract term.
  • Responsible for the final packaging of various product lines for the Biotech industry.
  • Employees execute production processes by strictly adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instruction Documents.
  • The role involves routine tasks with occasional deviations, requiring moderate complexity.
  • Precision is essential as errors could lead to significant interpretative issues.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate and/or monitor production equipment, making necessary adjustments to ensure smooth operations and high-quality results in the work area.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to perform filling, labeling, and packaging of products.
  • Comprehend production paperwork including product reconciliation, label reconciliation, labor sheets, product fill checks, and torque checks.
  • Follow manufacturing paperwork meticulously without deviations from instructions.
  • Handle chemicals and hazardous materials safely.
  • Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
  • Follow ISO 13485 guidelines and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, machines, glassware, or equipment as required.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with work groups to ensure task and project completion.
  • Perform duties in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Be flexible to work overtime and varying shifts.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, talk, hear, and smell.
  • Frequently reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods as required by the nature of the work.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work in a moderate noise level environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Candidates with Bachelors or Masters degree are also welcome to apply.
  • Experience in a cGMP production, or laboratory, or clean room environment, either through academic coursework or industry experience, is required.
  • Proficiency in basic packaging techniques, equipment operation, and protocol record retention.
  • Comfortable with chemical handling.
  • Strong computational skills.
  • Ability to execute instructions precisely without deviation.
