2026 Summer Internship - Finance & Accounting


The Finance & Accounting Intern will support the controllership in day-to-day operations within a publicly traded company. This role provides exposure to general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. The intern will assist with reconciliations, preparing and reviewing documentation, and other ad-hoc requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare account and bank reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Assist in gathering documentation and schedules used for internal and external reporting
  • Support the monthly general ledger close process
  • Help maintain documentation for SOX controls and audit support
  • Support the finance and accounting team with ad-hoc requests
  • Perform quarterly expense fluctuation analyses to identify and explain drivers
  • Assist in preparation of regulatory reports and surveys

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently a junior or senior pursuing a degree in accounting
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Completed or enrolled in Intermediate Accounting II
  • Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statements
  • Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • High degree of curiosity with an eagerness to learn
  • Desire to obtain CPA license

Expected compensation: $36.00/hour.
