Marketing Intern

Ready to build your portfolio while making a real impact in your community? The Crystal Lake Park District is looking for a creative, motivated Marketing Intern to help tell our story through social media, design, and community outreach. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world marketing experience while promoting fun programs, events, and parks enjoyed by thousands of residents!

Varied hours – Monday through Friday (days & evenings), with some weekends
Up to 35 hours per week

🌟 What You’ll Do

You’ll work alongside our Marketing Team to bring our brand to life through digital content, design, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist marketing campaigns for programs, events, and park initiatives.
• Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and the Park District website.
• Design flyers, brochures, and promotional materials.
• Support event planning and on-site promotional activities.
   
• Capture and edit photos for digital and print use.
• Monitor and respond to social media engagement.

🎓 Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who’s creative, organized, and excited about community recreation!

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in:
  • Marketing
  • Communications
  • Public Relations
  • Graphic Design
  • Advertising
  • or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
• Working knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Office
  • Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
• Experience using a camera and taking photos.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Valid driver’s license.
