Applied Electromagnetics Intern
GPR is seeking a senior college student or graduate level student interested in an applied-electromagnetics summer internship. The student should have some proficiency in soldering prototypes, collecting data, and analyzing data. We are looking for a student with introductory coursework in digital signal processing and electromagnetics.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with experienced engineers on a ground penetrating radar
• Simulate and build small amplifier prototypes
• Gain hands on experience collecting and analyzing radar data
• Understand a basic digital signal processing pipeline
• Present contributions to peer at the end of the internship
Qualifications:
• Enrollment in a graduate degree program (Master's or PhD candidates) OR a rising senior undergraduate for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Enthusiasm for digital signal processing techniques, machine learning, or RF hardware.
• Basic programming skills in a language such as MATLAB, Python, C/C++.
• Familiarity or interest in radar systems and remote sensing concepts and challenges.
• Effective problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and strong communication abilities.
• An eagerness to learn, innovate, and contribute to varied team environments.
