START Program

About the START Program

The Electrosonic START Program is a year‑long rotational development experience designed for early‑career professionals who want to explore the full lifecycle of experiential technology, AV integration, and immersive environments. Participants rotate through every core department — including Design, Engineering, Project Management, Fabrication, Field Installation, Service, and Commercial Operations — gaining broad exposure, hands‑on experience, and direct mentorship.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants transition into a permanent role aligned with their strengths and interests.

Position Summary

As a START Program Participant, you will contribute to real projects, learn directly from experienced colleagues, and develop a comprehensive understanding of how Electrosonic delivers world‑class experiential solutions. This is a hands‑on role designed for recent graduates who are curious, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Program-Wide Responsibilities

  • Engage in structured department rotations across design, engineering, project management, fabrication, field installation, commissioning, service, and business operations.
  • Participate in client-facing and internal project meetings to understand the end‑to‑end project lifecycle.
  • Complete assigned tasks that support active projects, deliverables, and team goals.
  • Apply critical thinking to problem-solving in real-world scenarios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate progress clearly and professionally.
  • Maintain a learning mindset and seek feedback throughout each rotation.
  • Complete a final capstone project and presentation at the end of the program.

Rotation Responsibilities (Examples)

Design & Engineering

  • Assist with documentation, drawings, schematics, and system layouts.
  • Support design reviews, technical documentation, and requirements gathering.

Project Management

  • Help maintain schedules, budgets, and project status reports.
  • Participate in vendor coordination, procurement workflows, and risk tracking.

Fabrication & Testing

  • Support rack builds, staging, QA, and Factory Acceptance Testing activities.

Field Installation & Commissioning

  • Assist senior technicians during onsite installation and system commissioning.
  • Observe troubleshooting processes and customer handoff activities.

Service & Support

  • Support service ticket management, preventative maintenance, and remote troubleshooting.

Business Operations

  • Contribute to proposals, estimating, sales support, and pipeline activities.
  • Understand how marketing, sales, and finance play a role in the project lifecycle.

Technical Competencies (Preferred but Not Required)

  • Basic understanding of AV, IT networks, or experiential technologies
  • Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or project management platforms
  • Ability to read or learn technical diagrams, signal flow, and system concepts
  • General proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, technology, media, design, project management, or related fields
  • Internship or project experience in technology, media, or engineering environments is a plus
  • No professional experience required; this is an entry-level development program
