Development Engineer
Job Summary
We are actively seeking a chemistry or chemical engineering student to join our Development team. Creston is an engineering firm within the water treatment industry that serves utilities (power & water), by providing electrochlorination systems. Our products and services disinfect water, thereby helping to make the communities of our municipality partners safer. This role will be important in the gathering and analyzing of data to enhance our field credibility, demonstrating that our technology is better than the alternatives.
Responsibilities
- Operate a full-scale hypochlorite generator.
- Draw samples, measure, and record data.
- Assist Development Manager with analysis of data.
- Training & Support – Intern will receive training on equipment and will have oversight.
Qualifications
- Education: Chemistry or Chemical Engineering student at accredited institution. Must have completed at least one year of educational study and one lab class.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Physical Activity: Regularly requires standing for prolonged periods.
- Lifting: Capability to lift and maneuver equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Sensory: Ability to distinguish colors and hear within normal audio ranges for safety and diagnostics.
- Environment: Work is primarily performed in a warehouse facility and may involve exposure to industrial chemicals (specifically chlorine/hypochlorite) and ambient noise.
- Schedule: Occasional availability during evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required.
