Social Media Specialist

What You’ll Love Doing:

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Director, you’ll collaborate across our award-winning in-house marketing agency to align creative direction, campaign priorities, and brand voice while operating with a high level of creative independence.

From big-picture concepting to final publish, the Social Media Specialist shapes platform-native storytelling across all channels, applying creative judgment every step of the way.

Your day-to-day will bring opportunities to:

  • Develop and execute mission-driven social media strategy grounded in strong digital and content marketing principles
  • Exercise independent creative judgment in selecting formats, visuals, tone, and narrative direction across platforms.Create concepts and bring them to life through capturing, editing, publishing, and optimizing content.
  • Shape creative strategy across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and other channels to expand reach and deepen engagement through high-quality photo and video content.
  • Break down long-form or existing content into bite-sized, platform-specific formats
  • Maintain a consistent, recognizable Dogs Inc brand voice across all social channels
  • Monitor trends, tools, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and audience growth
  • Maintain a proactive content calendar that supports campaigns and priorities
  • Track performance metrics and refine strategy based on engagement data and audience insights.
  • Collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing Director and internal teams while independently managing multiple projects and deadlines.

 

Abilities and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience developing and executing original social media content
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and how each platform can be deployed strategically in different scenarios
  • Experience with social media management and analytics tools such as Metricool, Agility, SEMrush, or similar platforms
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Premiere Pro, and video editing tools like CapCut or equivalent platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to create platform-native content with strong storytelling instincts
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Clear and friendly communication style with strong written and verbal skills
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Passion for staying current with evolving digital marketing trends and technologies.

This is a hybrid position with the expectation to work on-site at our beautiful 66-acre Palmetto, Florida, campus regularly. This role supports team collaboration while allowing some flexibility for remote work.
