Communications Intern

Location: Remote (Company HQ: New York City)

Term: March 16, 2026 – May 15, 2026 (Potential extension through Summer 2026 and beyond based on performance)

Hours: Part-time (approx. 8 hours/week)

 

The Role

We are looking for a creative, strategic, and high-energy Communications Intern to help us define and amplify the TeroAI brand. Working directly with the CEO, you will be a core part of our voice, turning complex data insights into compelling narratives for the media, the public, and our internal team.

This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a high-growth AI startup and help shape the communication strategy for a patented, category-defining technology.

Key Responsibilities

Media Relations: Draft impactful press releases and media advisories regarding new data releases, partnerships, and company milestones.

Social Media Management: Own our social presence. You will draft, schedule, and post content across LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), and other relevant channels to engage our target audience.

Strategy & Branding: Collaborate directly with the CEO to craft TeroAI’s overarching communication strategy and establish a consistent, authoritative brand voice.

Internal Comms: Assist with internal company updates and culture-building communications to keep our remote team aligned and inspired.

Agile Support: As a startup, we move fast. You will assist with other company needs and special projects as they arise, providing a "generalist" spirit to help the team win.

Who You Are

Background: We are open to candidates with any level of experience who are currently in their Junior or Senior year of undergraduate study.Ideally a current Master’s student in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.  

Experience: We are open to any candidate who can demonstrate exceptional writing and strategic thinking, and hustle.  1–3 years of professional experience in comms or marketing is preferred, internships count.

Storyteller: You have a knack for taking dense material making it understandable by general audiences.

Self-Starter: You are comfortable working in a remote environment and can manage deadlines with minimal oversight.

NYC Vibes, Global Reach: While we are remote, we carry the energy of our NYC home base. You should be comfortable with the pace of a growing startup.
