Summer Media & Photography Intern – Camp Mah-Kee-Nac (Massachusetts, USA)

Camp Mah-Kee-Nac, located in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts, is looking for a Media & Photography Intern to join our team for Summer 2026. This role is perfect for someone studying photography, media, marketing, communications, or film, and who wants hands-on experience creating real content in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Throughout the summer, you will help document daily camp life and special events while producing content used across our social media platforms and parent communications.

Dates: June 16 – August 9, 2026
Location: Lenox, Massachusetts, USA

Role Overview

The Media & Photography Intern will be responsible for capturing and organizing photos that showcase the camp experience. These photos are shared daily with families and used to tell the story of camp through social media and marketing channels.

You will work closely with the leadership and media team while also being part of the wider camp community.

Key Responsibilities

Capture high-quality photos of daily camp activities, sports, events, and cabin life

Take and organize nightly photos for our parent photo portal

Create engaging photo and video content for camp social media platforms

Cover special events such as Olympics, tournaments, evening activities, and trips

Assist with short-form video content and storytelling around camp life

Organize and upload media files daily to the camp’s internal systems

Work with the leadership team on creative media projects throughout the summer

What We’re Looking For

Experience or strong interest in photography, videography, or social media content creation

Students studying media, communications, marketing, film, or photography preferred

Comfortable using cameras, editing tools, and digital platforms

Strong attention to detail and organization when managing large numbers of photos

Positive energy and enthusiasm working with children and young people

Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
