Fraud Intern

FRAUD INTERNSHIP AVAILABLE!

Pay Rate: $15.00/hour

Semester:   Summer                                         

Start Date: May 11, 2026

Hours:  225 hours/semester

Hours per week:   15-20+ (some positions even allow up to 40 hours/week)     

Responsibilities will include:

• Becoming familiar with fraud trends and schemes
• Investigating fraud claims as directed, coordinating with the appropriate parties (internal and external), determining the appropriate disposition of the claims including completion of appropriate paperwork.
• Tracking fraud trends and proactively preventing fraud when possible
• Participating in meetings with various business owners and Fraud Department
• Reviewing fraud alerts and reporting and proactively responding to appropriate parties
• Setting travel alerts for cardholders
• Filing Currency Transaction Reports
• Updating Beneficial Owner and CDD information in monitoring software
• Address change verification
• Dormant account verifications

Qualifications:

• Forensic accounting, criminal justice and/or law enforcement classes
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft office, especially MS Word and Excel
• Self-starter, must be able to work independently after given adequate instruction
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organized and attentive to detail
• Willingness to maintain member confidentiality
