Summer Camp Media Coordinator

Summer Camp Media Coordinator - Capture the Magic at Green River Preserve!

Green River Preserve is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Media Coordinator to join our team for the upcoming summer season. You will be the camp’s primary visual storyteller, responsible for capturing the warmth, enthusiasm, and success of our program and sharing it with our community. This is a vital leadership role perfect for someone passionate about photography, social media, and outdoor education.

Role & Responsibilities (The Storyteller):

  • High-Volume Photography: Serve as the primary photographer, taking 300–500 high-quality photos daily of campers, staff, activities, hikes, expeditions, wildlife, and scenery.
  • Content Management: Efficiently manage the upload and organization of all daily camp photos for parent viewing.
  • Social Media & Blogging:
    • Keep all social media content engaging and up-to-date throughout the summer.
    • Create and post a daily blog post complete with appropriate tags.
    • Manage one daily Facebook and Instagram post, featuring 3–5 select photos.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a small media team, assigning daily tasks and holding members accountable for their work.
  • Print & Presentations: Produce print materials (like cabin photo postcards) and create high-quality end-of-session slideshows for the Banquet and for year-round marketing purposes.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Demonstrated photography and high-volume photo management skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom for efficient batch processing, color correction, and organization of daily image catalogs
  • Strong understanding of social media content creation and strategy.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to promptness.
  • A collaborative spirit and willingness to share knowledge with the camp community.
  • A high degree of responsibility, warmth, and sensitivity to the needs of campers.
