Summer Graduate Student Intern – Laboratory Sciences
The DeGregori Laboratory at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a motivated graduate student intern to join our team for Summer 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an ongoing collagen research project and gain hands-on experience in a high-impact cancer biology research environment. The intern will play a meaningful role in completing a multi-experiment project initiated the previous year, working alongside an experienced and collaborative research team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute approximately 8 days of validation, organoid infection, and implantation experiments as part of an ongoing collagen research project
- Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records and documentation
- Collaborate with lab members to ensure experimental continuity and quality
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and institutional guidelines
- Communicate results and progress to supervising researchers
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program in biological sciences, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of wet laboratory experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with organoid culture or related cell biology techniques
- Familiarity with implantation or infection-based experimental models
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex experimental protocols independently
