Sales & Entertainment Booking Internship

Position Overview

MC Events is seeking outgoing, motivated college students to join our Sales & Entertainment Booking Internship. This internship provides hands-on experience in sales, business development, and live entertainment booking.

Interns will work alongside our sales team to learn how to identify venue opportunities, build relationships with local businesses, and help book live entertainment and hosted events.

Unlike many internships, interns will actively participate in real sales conversations and bookings, giving them the opportunity to earn income while gaining professional sales experience.

MC Events produces and books a wide range of entertainment experiences including:

  • Trivia
  • Bingo
  • Music Bingo
  • Karaoke
  • DJs
  • Bands and live performers

Interns will learn how to introduce these services to venues, identify strong business opportunities, and guide potential clients through the booking process.

This is a hands-on internship designed for students interested in sales, marketing, hospitality, entertainment, or entrepreneurship.

Key Responsibilities

Sales interns will support the MC Events sales team by helping identify potential venues and initiating conversations about entertainment bookings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching and identifying potential venue partners such as bars, breweries, restaurants, and entertainment venues
  • Creating and managing leads in Salesforce
  • Conducting outreach to venues via email, phone, and social media
  • Introducing venues to MC Events entertainment offerings
  • Helping venues identify the best event type for their audience
  • Updating lead information and conversation notes in Salesforce
  • Moving interested venues through the sales pipeline
  • Assisting with booking confirmations and event scheduling
  • Supporting marketing collaboration with venues to promote events

Interns will receive training on MC Events’ sales process, outreach strategy, and entertainment offerings.

Our approach focuses on relationship-building and conversation-driven sales, not aggressive sales tactics.

Interns earn income by helping secure bookings for MC Events entertainment services.

Examples of earnings include:

  • Commission for booking weekly trivia or karaoke events
  • Commission for one-off entertainment bookings
  • Commission for booking DJs, bands, or other live performers

There is no cap on earnings, and interns who successfully build relationships with venues can generate ongoing income through recurring event bookings.
