Mohs Histotechnologist

We are a practice specializing in Mohs and reconstructive surgery for skin cancer patients in Sacramento, California. We provide the the highest quality patient care in a modern patient friendly, tech savvy, environment.

The Mohs histotechnologist duties include: receiving tissue specimens, inking and embeding tissue, preparing sections using our new state of the art cryostat, mounting and staining the tissue. In addition, the Mohs technition will assist in maintaining the laboratory, equipment, and logs according to CLIA standards.

The Mohs histotechnology position also includes other medical assisting duties, including contacting patients with laboratory results, assisting in treatment rooms, answering phones, and scheduling patients when not cutting tissue for Mohs surgery.

We provide training and certification for a motivated applicant. Salary is increased as competency develops.
