About Discipulus Ventures

Discipulus Ventures is an early-stage fund located in El Segundo, at the heart of a rapidly growing hard tech ecosystem. We back founders building companies that serve the national interest — from onshoring essential industries to strengthening critical infrastructure and defense capabilities. Our portfolio and network include companies such as Durin, Rainmaker, and Valar Atomics, and we are backed by world-class institutions including a16z, Point72, and Lux Capital.

The Role

Spring Interns at Discipulus Ventures will take on a generalist role. You will support our spring cohort of investee companies while gaining hands-on exposure to every layer of what it takes to build a mission-driven accelerator.

What You'll Do

  • Cohort Support: Work directly alongside founders in our spring accelerator cohort — helping with market research, strategic projects, operational needs, and investor communications
  • Portfolio Operations: Support existing portfolio companies with ad hoc projects, partnership introductions, and resource coordination
  • Fund Operations: Contribute to internal processes including LP communications, event planning, and content creation
  • Ecosystem Engagement: Attend founder events, demo days, and community gatherings across the El Segundo and greater Los Angeles area

What We're Looking For

  • Interest: Demonstrated curiosity at the intersection of technology, finance, and entrepreneurship.
  • Value-Alignment: Discipulus Ventures invests solely in companies dedicated to the national interest. You should feel a genuine pull toward this mission.
  • Grit: There is no GPA requirement. We want hard workers who are excited about the mission, hungry to learn, and ready to prove themselves.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to wear many hats. In a small fund, initiative and resourcefulness matter most.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills — you'll interact with founders, LPs, and partners regularly.
