Junior Operations & Business Administrator
About Us
We operate multiple businesses out of Ramsey, NJ — including a marine construction company, landscaping company, and software companies — and we're actively building and scaling. This is not a large corporation where you'll be a number. This is a ground-floor opportunity to grow alongside the businesses themselves.
We're looking for a sharp, hungry recent grad who wants to be part of something that's being built — not just fill a seat. As we scale, this role scales with you. The person who comes in now and proves themselves will have a seat at the table as these companies grow.
Why This Opportunity Is Different
Most entry-level accounting/operations jobs stick you in a cubicle doing the same thing every day. Here, you'll touch every part of the business — accounting, operations, billing, payroll, vendor management, project tracking. You'll work directly with ownership, not middle management. And because we're scaling multiple businesses at once, the learning curve is steep and the growth potential is real. We need someone who wants to build their career while we build ours.
What You'll Be Doing
Managing QuickBooks — transaction entry, reconciliations, keeping the books clean across multiple companies. Processing invoices, tracking payments, and handling accounts receivable. Tracking job costs and project budgets across all businesses. Helping build and maintain profit & loss reports, job costing reports, and project-level financial reporting — you'll learn how to measure whether a job made money or lost it and why. Helping with payroll and employee time tracking. Managing jobs, scheduling, and customer communication. Organizing vendor documents, receipts, and job records. Coordinating with our CPA for tax prep and filings.
What We're Looking For
Recent grad with a degree in accounting, finance, or business (or close to finishing one). Comfortable with technology — you can figure out new software quickly. Organized and detail-oriented. Reliable and self-motivated — you don't need to be micromanaged. Good communicator. Someone who sees this as a career opportunity, not just a paycheck.
No experience required in construction or landscaping — we'll teach you the industry. We need someone who's sharp and wants to grow with us.
What You'll Get
Hands-on training in construction accounting. Real experience with financial reporting and P&L analysis across multiple businesses. Direct access to and frequent mentorship from ownership. Exposure to every side of running and scaling multiple businesses. Flexible schedule. for the right candidate. A role that grows as the companies grow — there's no ceiling here if you're the right person.
