Position Summary
Brookfield is recruiting for AI Value Creation Office Intern in our Toronto or New York office. The intern will gain hands-on experience implementing AI within a global renewable energy platform, exposure to asset-level operations and corporate strategy, practical understanding of how AI translates into measurable operational and financial outcomes and direct interaction with senior leadership across digital transformation and asset management.
Responsibilities
1. AI Use Case Development & Prioritization
- Partner with asset management, operations, and corporate teams to identify high-impact AI use cases.
- Conduct structured problem definition, including baseline performance metrics and ROI estimation.
- Assist in building business cases for AI initiatives.
2. Implementation Support
- Support deployment of AI tools across pilot assets or functions.
- Coordinate data gathering, validation, and integration with internal systems.
- Assist with testing, model validation, and user acceptance processes.
- Document workflows, technical requirements, and implementation playbooks.
3. Change Management & Adoption
- Develop user guides, training materials, and internal communications to support adoption.
- Gather feedback from end users and iterate on deployment strategy.
- Track adoption of metrics and operational improvements.
4. Market & Vendor Research
- Conduct structured evaluations of AI vendors and emerging technologies relevant to renewable energy.
- Support RFP processes and technical due diligence.
- Benchmark Brookfield Renewable’s AI maturity against industry peers.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Previous internship or work experience in a related field or function.
- Strong stakeholder communication
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
- Strong analytical skills and structured problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
