Chemistry Lab Technician

Chemistry Lab Technician/Intern 

Start $20/hour, up to $23/hour once trained (timing depending on lab experience)

Zaclon LLC is looking for a part-time assistant to do chemical analysis, primarily of chemicals involved in after-fabrication hot dip galvanizing at our lab; typically 10-15 hours per week in our plant located in the Industrial Flats (near downtown) Cleveland Ohio.

The analysis results are reviewed and formed into reports that assist our customers to optimize their operation both to minimize quality problems and waste. As such, the technician will also be learning more about that industry and how Zaclon has served it for more than 75 years.  Visits to local galvanizers are possible. 

Secondarily, the position can involve developing new or simpler tests for both the Technical Lab and the Process Lab, and can be involved with other products, from potassium silicate to paper treating chemicals, and ammonium chloride as well.  Due to this array of chemicals, the internship can be exposed to a very wide variety of applications for our products and some customers. 

The position is under the direction of the Technical Director.
