Position Summary
St. Peter’s School is seeking Early Education Teachers (PK–3) to join our growing faculty for the 2026–2027 school year.
The ideal candidates will create warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classrooms that foster curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning while supporting students academically, spiritually, and socially.
Primary Job Functions
- Teach early childhood and primary elementary classes (Preschool through Grade 3) as assigned by the principal.
- Design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction in literacy, math, religion, and social-emotional learning.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and joyful classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence.
- Develop and implement curriculum aligned with the Diocese of Toledo and Ohio Department of Education standards.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic and developmental records.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers through conferences, newsletters, and regular updates.
- Support positive student behavior and model Christian values, kindness, and respect.
- Collaborate with colleagues, participate in team meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the vibrant life of the school community as St. Peter’s continues to grow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred background in early childhood education, elementary education, or a related field.
- Current Ohio teaching license or willingness to obtain appropriate certification.
- Experience working with young children is preferred but not required.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Ability to pass FBI and BCI background checks and complete the Diocese of Toledo VIRTUS program.
Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time, salaried position with a 12-month contract and potential for annual renewal. Salary is commensurate with experience. Competitive benefits are offered, including tuition discounts for school-age dependents.
