Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Digital Marketing & Social Media Coordinator Intern to join our growing team. In this role, you will support the planning, creation, and scheduling of social media content across our platforms, drawing from research-driven insights, industry analytics, leadership-provided content, and our portfolio of case studies. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging marketer to gain real-world experience in B2B digital marketing within the learning and organizational development space.
You will work closely with leadership to ensure our social content reflects our brand voice, highlights our expertise, and drives meaningful engagement with our target audience: HR leaders, L&D professionals, and organizational decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Planning & Strategy
• Develop and maintain a monthly social media content calendar aligned with organizational goals and campaigns
• Research trending topics, hashtags, and conversations relevant to learning & development, HR, and organizational performance
• Analyze platform analytics (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) to inform content strategy and optimize post timing, format, and frequency
• Translate leadership-provided insights, case studies, and service highlights into engaging social media content
Content Creation & Coordination
• Draft copy for social media posts across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and others as applicable)
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure all messaging is on-brand, accurate, and aligned with LXD's positioning
• Support the creation of simple visual assets or coordinate with design resources for graphics, quote cards, and infographics
• Repurpose long-form content (case studies, blog posts, service pages) into digestible social media formats
Research & Analytics
• Conduct ongoing competitive research on how peer organizations and consultancies present themselves on social media
• Monitor industry news, reports, and thought leadership to surface timely content ideas
• Track and compile weekly/monthly performance reports including engagement, reach, follower growth, and impressions
• Provide data-driven recommendations for improving content performance based on analytics findings
Topic Trend Research & Analytics
• Use Google Trends and similar tools (e.g., Exploding Topics, BuzzSumo, Answer the Public) to identify rising topics, search patterns, and seasonal content opportunities relevant to L&D, HR, and organizational development
• Monitor keyword and topic performance over time to ensure content remains timely, discoverable, and aligned with what target audiences are actively searching
• Translate trend data into concrete content recommendations — topics, formats, and timing — for leadership review and approval
• Compile regular trend reports that highlight emerging themes and inform the monthly content calendar
Brand Kit Development & Maintenance
• Assist in building and refining LXD's marketing brand kit, including brand voice guidelines, approved color palettes, typography standards, logo usage rules, and visual templates
• Ensure all social media content- copy, graphics, and formatting- consistently reflects the brand kit and upholds a professional, cohesive visual identity
• Create and maintain a library of branded templates in Canva or equivalent tools for recurring content types (quote cards, stat graphics, announcements, case study spotlights)
• Identify gaps or inconsistencies in current brand presentation across platforms and recommend improvements to leadership
Community & Brand Presence
• Monitor social media channels for comments, mentions, and engagement opportunities
• Support consistent brand voice and visual identity across all social platforms
• Assist in identifying potential collaboration or partnership opportunities through social listening
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Business, or a related field
• 0–1 year of professional or academic experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content creation (internship, coursework, or personal projects)
• Demonstrated interest in B2B marketing, professional services, or the learning & development industry is a plus
Technical Skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms from a professional/brand perspective, particularly LinkedIn
• Basic understanding of social media analytics tools
• Experience with or willingness to learn social media scheduling and content management tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
• Familiarity with trend research tools such as Google Trends, Exploding Topics, BuzzSumo, or Answer the Public
• Basic graphic design skills using Canva or similar tools, including experience working within or building branded templates
• Understanding of brand identity fundamentals, color theory, typography, visual consistency, and the ability to apply them within a brand kit
• Exposure to basic SEO or content marketing principles is a bonus

• Collaborative and receptive to feedback from leadership
• Genuine interest in learning & development, organizational performance, or consulting is a strong plus
• Professional maturity and the ability to represent a brand online with discretion and care
