Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager – White Electric

Location: Jobsite Office and/or Main Office

Role Purpose and Business Context

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) at White Electric is an entry-level professional role supporting project execution through documentation, coordination, and administrative functions.

Role Hierarchy and Reporting Structure

The Assistant Project Manager reports directly to a Project Manager and supports the broader project management team.

Core Responsibilities

Manage project documentation, scheduling support, sub-contractor coordination, procurement tracking, and closeout coordination.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Documentation accuracy and timeliness
  • Responsiveness
  • quality of closeout deliverables.

Authority Limits and Decision Rights

No authority over scope, cost, or schedule changes; escalation to Project Manager required.

Core Competencies

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills suitable for coordination with field personnel, management, clients, and trade partners.

Ability to collaborate effectively with field supervision and earn professional credibility through consistency and follow-through.

Demonstrated ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement practical solutions in a construction environment.

Working understanding of electrical construction systems, activities, and project flow appropriate to the role level.

Ability to read, interpret, and apply construction drawings, specifications, and applicable electrical codes.

Proficiency with standard office software, including Microsoft Excel, document and material control systems, and scheduling tools.

Ability to maintain professionalism, sound judgment, and composure while working under schedule, cost, and operational pressure.
