Job Summary

Duluth Kitchen Co is looking for a detail-oriented, dependable Retail Inventory Manager to lead inventory flow, receiving, and product setup in our store. This role is a key part of our daily operations and helps keep both the sales floor and our online orders running smoothly.

This is not a warehouse-only role — it’s a retail operations position that combines inventory accuracy, vendor coordination, team training, and eCommerce support. The right person is organized, proactive, and comfortable balancing behind-the-scenes systems with a customer-friendly presence on the floor.

What You’ll Do

Oversee daily inventory flow and maintain accurate counts across in-store and online inventory

Receive freight in our POS system and reconcile purchase orders against invoices

Identify and resolve discrepancies, including pricing changes, shortages, and damaged goods

Work with vendors to request credits, replacements, and return authorizations

Create and maintain accurate item records, including naming, categories, pricing, and product details

Train team members on receiving procedures, stickering, inventory handling, and shipping standards

Support eCommerce fulfillment by printing, packing, and shipping online orders

Process customer returns and track open return issues through completion

Reorder products from key vendors and help maintain healthy stock levels

Keep receiving and back-of-house areas organized, efficient, and retail-ready

Support the customer experience on the sales floor as needed

What We’re Looking For

Strong organization and time management skills

High attention to detail and follow-through

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt as business needs change

Clear communication skills and confidence training others

A problem-solving mindset with good judgment

Retail, inventory, or eCommerce operations experience preferred

POS/inventory software experience preferred

Minimum Requirements

Able to work in person in Duluth, MN

Able to lift and move boxes/product as part of daily receiving tasks

Comfortable being on your feet for much of the shift

Able to use computers for POS, inventory, and order management

Schedule

Full-time

Day shift

Monday to Friday

Weekend availability as needed
