🧠 About Atlas Arena

Atlas Arena is the first project of our company, Nexus Games. This position is to fully support the Atlas Arena game and community.

Atlas is a new kind of game—built to defend and advance human intelligence in an era dominated by AI. Our mission is to help people sharpen critical skills like adaptability, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking through play. The world doesn’t need more time-wasting games—it needs experiences that make people smarter, stronger, and more connected.

At the heart of Atlas is a competitive, team-based experience where players face abstract challenges in limited time windows. These challenges live inside The Arena, a daily set of levels within the broader game. Designed to be engaging but non-addictive, Atlas strengthens the most human skills in ways that feel cinematic, social, challenging, and meaningful.

📣 The Role: Gaming Community Creator

We’re hiring a Gaming Community Creator to own our community space, lead player onboarding, and serve as the “face” of our brand during live events. You will be responsible for building a high-engagement home for our community of college gamers and thinkers—blending the tactical precision of a Discord architect with the charisma of a live streamer.

In this role, you’ll manage the day-to-day health of our server, support live events, and ensure every new player’s first interaction with Atlas is human and intentional. You are the bridge between our game and our players, responsible for making the experience feel as immersive as possible.

This role is built for a GenZ and gaming-native personality with experience in community management. You are high-agency, comfortable in the spotlight, and eager to create memorable player experiences.

🧩 Who You Are

The “Face” of the Brand

You’re a people person. Whether it’s welcoming new players, hosting a live event, being featured in branded content, or troubleshooting with someone 1-on-1—you make people feel seen and supported.

Discord-Native

You know how to use roles, bots, and channels to make a community feel welcomed and protected. Your communication style is authentic, witty, and perfectly tuned to a college-aged audience.

A True Gamer

You live at the intersection of strategy and skill, whether it’s Valorant, Chess, Elden Ring, or competitive social games. You understand gaming culture because you are a part of it.

High Agency and Detail-Oriented

You anticipate problems, respond fast, and stay cool under pressure. You’re the kind of person who catches things before they break, and fixes them if they do.

Have a Following, or Want to Build One

If you’ve streamed on Twitch, led virtual communities, or hosted online events—we’d love to see your work.

Human-Centric and Mission-Aligned

At your core, you care deeply about humans. You feel inspired to protect and advance humanity, and you are drawn to bold missions.

✅ What You’ll Do

Own the Discord Ecosystem

Manage and maintain our server, including technical structure (roles, bots, onboarding flows) and daily activity. You will be the primary voice driving conversation, responding to DMs, and managing support tickets and moderation.

Support Live Virtual Events

Act as a key facilitator for high-stakes virtual challenges and competitions, ensuring smooth scheduling, real-time player support, and high community energy (often late evenings around 9 PM PT / ET).

Build On-Campus Engagements

Own the end-to-end planning and execution of on-campus events. You will help build our presence at universities, identifying opportunities for in-person activations and managing them from concept to completion.

Create Content That Resonates

Plan and execute creative content for social and community channels. This may include UGC-style videos, gameplay edits, or a “Wall of Love” collage, all centered around the player experience.

Onboard New Players

Manage the player entry funnel, ensuring every new college-based gamer feels welcomed, supported, and fully prepared to compete.

Design Memorable Player Experiences

Design and amplify moments that stick—both inside and outside of Discord. This includes coordinating community events, celebrating player wins on social media, and ensuring every touchpoint feels premium.

Close the Feedback Loop

Actively monitor community sentiment and surface trends, bugs, and player testimonials to the internal team to help us iterate on the Atlas experience.

🌍 Why Join Atlas Arena?

Atlas is built for people who believe that the next generation of talent deserves better games, better communities, and a better–more human–world. You’ll be part of a small team launching a bold, skill-building, cinematic gaming experience. If you’re excited by fast execution, social systems, and helping new ideas spread, then this is the role for you.

💸 Compensation & Structure

We’re looking for someone who wants to own this role—not just fill it. If that’s you, let’s build something unforgettable.

This is a full-time, remote role, with occasional late-evening availability required for live events and player sessions. You’ll report directly to the CEO and be a key part of our early team.

  • Salary range: $50,000 to $75,000 USD depending on experience
  • Full-time W2 employee (after initial trial, if needed)
  • Meaningful equity compensation included
  • Preference for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area
