Communications Residency

Communications & Storytelling Residency

Alliance Community Fellowship | Fort Worth (Alliance Corridor)

Alliance Community Fellowship is a growing, Acts 2–shaped church in the Fort Worth area committed to forming fully devoted followers of Jesus who love Jesus, live in biblical community, and live on mission.

We are seeking a Communications & Storytelling Resident to be formed as a future church communicator and ministry leader.

This 6-12 month residency is designed for a seminary student or ministry-minded creative who senses a calling to use communication, media, and storytelling to serve the local church and the mission of the gospel.

About the Residency

ACF exists to make fully devoted followers of Jesus who love and disciple people. Our desire is to restore and return to the early church rhythms and practices. We engage with spiritually hungry people in the Alliance Corridor who want to know Jesus, find authentic community, and live with purpose. We also intentionally communicate to people who have been wounded, disappointed, or disconnected from church, but are still open to Jesus and His Church.

This residency is not primarily about marketing. It is about learning to steward the voice of a local church in a way that reflects the heart of Christ, the truth of Scripture, and the beauty of what God is doing in His people.

You will work closely with pastoral leadership, ministry teams, and the Sunday Gathering team to help tell the story of life, growth, and mission at Alliance Community Fellowship.

You will learn how communication serves not just information, but discipleship, care, and evangelism.

What You Will Do

  • Help create and manage church communication across platforms
  • Capture stories of life change through writing, video, and photography
  • Assist with Sunday Gathering slides, graphics, and announcements
  • Support communication for events, discipleship pathways, and ministries
  • Learn how to maintain a consistent church voice and brand
  • Receive coaching and mentoring from pastoral leadership

Time Commitment

The Communications & Storytelling Residency is designed to be a 10–20 hour per week commitment, depending on school schedule and season of life.

This includes Sunday Gatherings, content creation, planning meetings, and coaching time with pastoral staff.

We will work with each resident to build a healthy and sustainable weekly rhythm that supports both their ministry development and their academic or family responsibilities.

Some on-campus presence during the week will be expected for collaboration, story gathering, and creative planning, but this role allows for flexibility and remote work when appropriate.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

  • Loves Jesus and desires to serve His church
  • Has interest or ability in writing, design, photography, video, or digital media
  • Wants to learn how communication serves discipleship and mission
  • Has a heart for people who are new to church or returning after hurt
  • Is teachable, humble, and dependable
  • Feels a potential calling toward ministry, communications, or church leadership

What We Offer

  • Hands-on experience in church communications and storytelling
  • Pastoral mentoring and spiritual formation
  • Real creative responsibility and ministry impact
  • Opportunities to shape how a church tells its story
  • Discernment toward future ministry or communications roles
  • A healthy, gospel-centered, elder-led church environment
