Marketing Intern

PPR Strategies is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual for the position of Marketing Intern. If you’re a strong writer interested in building a career in marketing, social media, and public relations, this role offers hands-on experience supporting real client campaigns and media initiatives.

We’re seeking a hard-working individual with excellent writing and communication skills, as well as the ability to stay organized and multitask. The successful candidate has an in-depth knowledge of marketing techniques, content writing, and social media platforms.

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing marketing content for various clients to be used on the web, social media, print ads, radio ads, etc.
  • Stylizing and formatting client-facing documents, presentations, proposals, and media materials
  • Contributing to the creation of mock-ups, email campaigns, and social media content
  • Designing and presenting new social media campaign ideas
  • Monitoring and tracking placements in various media outlets such as newspapers, radio broadcasts, and television stations
  • Building and updating targeted media contact lists for client industries and geographic markets
  • Conducting research to support communications strategies, marketing plans, client reports, media outreach, and other needs as necessary 
  • Working collaboratively with fellow team members to execute communications plans
  • Assisting with special projects and client initiatives as needed

  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • A strong eye for detail and formatting
  • Creative eye for both messaging and visual presentation
  • Understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques
  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and self-aware, asking for help when needed
  • Strong research skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information
  • Preferred but not required: skilled in AP Style

You are skilled in the following programs:

  • MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Google - Docs, Sheets, Drive, Slides
  • Canva
  • Social Media – Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.

Work Schedule / Location / Compensation:

  • Monday – Friday: flexible around your class schedule
  • This internship is offered as an in-person, virtual, or hybrid experience. Our office is located in Frederick, MD.
  • Summer internship: 20 hours per week
  • Pay: minimum wage based on state laws applicable to the intern’s location
