Supply Chain Intern

Vybond is a global market leader in pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, delivering innovative solutions to a variety of industrial and specialty markets. Headquartered in Franklin, KY, with facilities in Riverhead, NY, and Bristol, RI, Vybond Group, Inc. manufactures specialty foil, film, and duct tapes and adhesives. With over 1,500 specialty SKUs spanning 500+ product families, Vybond serves 1,500+ customers across the HVAC, building and construction, industrial, retail, medical, aerospace, automotive, and other specialty industries. 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to join our Franklin, KY facility for the summer. This internship offers hands-on experience in forecasting, reporting, data management, and process improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The intern will work closely with the Demand Planning Manager and cross-functional teams to support operational efficiency and gain exposure to real-world supply chain practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage forecasts for smaller accounts and assist with adjustments in the DP system
  • Improve reporting tools such as exception reports, backorder reports, and weekly metrics spreadsheets
  • Streamline the MRP meeting process and contribute to capacity management initiatives
  • Review and standardize master data (e.g., MOQs, lead times) to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Create onboarding guides for new D365 users, including setup tips and shortcuts
  • Develop one-page customer playbooks highlighting product nuances, logistics details, and seasonal trends
  • Take ownership of scheduling for a small workcenter (e.g., Customs or Aztec)
  • Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to explore procurement strategies

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Interest in ERP systems (experience with D365 is a plus)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to process improvement initiatives
