Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Teacher Supervision
Overview
Community Christian School is seeking a dedicated Director of Curriculum and Instruction for our K-12 program. This person will join and collaborate with members of the Executive Leadership Team to develop and integrate the academic vision, oversee curriculum design, and facilitate teacher growth. Daily practice will involve a goal-oriented focus on instructional supervision, coaching, professional development, assessment implementation, and data analysis that is grounded in high-quality and engaged student learning aligned with the school’s mission. This position will especially contribute through data-driven decision-making. The Director will serve as an active member of the school’s leadership team, which collaborates weekly on setting the school’s strategic direction.

Education/Certification/Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Education required (preferably in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field from an accredited institution).
- Minimum of two (2) years of Educational Leadership experience or equivalent (Christian school experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of Biblical Worldview Immersion
- Deep understanding of pedagogical principles, curriculum design, and educational research.
- Strong leadership, coaching, organizational, and communication skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and student success.
- Experience in curriculum development, teacher supervision, and data analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
-Develop, review, and enhance K-12 curriculum and instructional materials aligned with our mission-driven scope and sequence.
-Ensure alignment with educational standards and school-specific goals, including Biblical Worldview Immersion.
-Oversee curriculum mapping and pacing.
-Select high-quality instructional resources and digital tools.
Instructional Supervision & Coaching:
-Provide ongoing instructional supervision, support, coaching, and mentoring to teachers.
-Observe classroom instruction and provide constructive feedback.
-Source & lead professional development workshops on effective teaching strategies and new research.
-Support teachers in integrating Scripture and a Christian worldview naturally into all academic and social learning.
-Support teachers in creating a nurturing, structured, and joyful classroom culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and curiosity.
- Support teachers in assessing student learning through formal and informal methods; coaching them to maintain accurate records and communicate progress clearly.
-Support teachers in utilizing differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs, including gifted, struggling, and ESL students.
-Support teachers in ways to incorporate technology thoughtfully (e.g., interactive whiteboards, tablets, educational apps) to enhance learning.
-Provide oversight for the collaboration of teachers with grade-level teams for curriculum mapping.
-Participate in professional development, faculty devotions, and school accreditation processes.
-Contribute to a positive school culture through service, prayer, and encouragement.
-Implement systems for data-driven decision-making to improve student outcomes.
-Develop and oversee assessment programs to evaluate curriculum effectiveness.
-Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to strategic direction.
-Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, parents, and the broader community.
-Foster an innovative, nurturing, and academically excellent school culture.
Skills
- Familiarity with FACTS SIS, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to integrate technology appropriately
- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Passion for Christian education and teacher development.
- Clear background check; no criminal record or child-related offenses.
