Digital Marketing Specialist

The Big Picture 
The Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist supports brand growth and customer engagement across all Foundations brands by developing, executing, and optimizing omnichannel digital marketing and communication initiatives. This role focuses on content creation, email marketing, campaign execution, and communications for both B2B and B2C audiences. 

This is a highly cross-functional role. As a part of the company’s dynamic Creative Content team, you will work closely with Sales, E-Commerce, and Design to support both online and offline initiatives. 

Where You’ll Shine 

Email & Lifecycle Marketing 
• Write, build, and deploy promotional, informational, and automated email campaigns for Foundations Education and Hospitality, Sova Public Washroom, and Gaggle Strollers 
• Maintain email calendars and ensure timely deployment 
Content Creation & Optimization 
• Write and edit blog posts, landing pages, and other website content 
• Employ SEO best practices to ensure all content maintains high visibility 
Campaign Support & Execution 
• Execute seasonal, promotional, and product campaigns and ensure messaging consistency across channels 
• Assist with product launches and sales initiatives 
Social Media Coordination 
• Own social media strategy for two brand verticals across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube 
• Draft and schedule social media captions and promotional posts 
• Support community engagement and brand reputation efforts
Performance Tracking & Optimization 
• Track and report on campaign and content performance 
• Collaborate with E-commerce team to analyze email and digital metrics for optimization 
• Utilize data and rigorous analysis to continuously iterate and make incremental improvements 

Required Experience & Skills 
To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following: 
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising/Public Relations, or related field 
• Comfortable using ESPs such as Klayvio (preferred), MailChimp, and HubSpot 
• Experience with updating website content, images, merchandising and promotions. Familiarity with Shopify is a major plus. 
• Ability to think strategically and drive results to grow the business 
• Analytical skills to interpret results and adjust campaigns accordingly 
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute digital marketing strategies 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• A natural curiosity and testing mindset with a desire to continually grow 
• Fast learner, self-motivated, and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize 
• Confident interfacing professionally within all levels of the organization 

Nice to Have Experience & Skills 
• Familiarity with any or all of the following tools: Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Search Console, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Shopify, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Shopify 
• B2C eCommerce and/or CPG experience 
• Involvement with on-site, off-site, and technical SEO – website conversion rates 
• Keyword research, planning, monitoring, and optimization 
• Shopping feed management and optimization 
• Email campaign coordination 
• Social media strategy
• Experience with video content creation and video, particularly for social platforms
