Human Resources Intern

Position Overview

DOMA is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to support the organization’s change management via acquisition growth and technology transition. This internship provides hands-on experience in HR operations, HR technology implementation, and multi-state workforce administration during a large-scale systems migration.


The intern will assist with recruiting, onboarding new employees, data validation, process mapping, documentation development, and cross-functional coordination to ensure a smooth transition to the new HRIS platform while maintaining compliance, data integrity, and employee experience continuity.

 

This role is ideal for a student pursuing Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Information Systems who is interested in the intersection of HR operations and technology.

 

Key Responsibilities

HRIS Migration Support

  • Assist with the transition of employee data from Paylocity to UKG, including:
  • Data auditing and validation.
  • Identifying discrepancies in employee records.
  • Supporting data cleanup and formatting prior to upload.
  • Participate in system testing by validating workflows.

Data Integrity & Compliance Review

  • Review multi-state audits to ensure employee classifications, pay codes, and organizational structures transfer accurately.
  • Support validation of historical employment records and PTO accrual balances.

Recruiting and Onboarding New Employees

  • Conducting candidate phone screens with potential field employees.
  • Assisting the onboarding process of new hires.

 

Requirements

Required:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, data comparison).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
