Sales Development Representative

At Breadcrumb, we’re a trusted partner to construction teams. We help people on-site and in the office stay connected, compliant and confident, without adding complexity.

We’re already a proven, scaling business in Australia and the UK, and we’re now building our US presence from the ground up. After our recent funding round, we’re on a mission to simplify how General Contractors operate on-site, starting with safety and frontline workflows.

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you’ll sit at the front of our US growth engine. You’ll be responsible for creating a high-quality pipeline, opening doors with construction leaders, and setting the foundation for long-term customer relationships.

This is an early, high-impact role on our US team. You won’t just execute outbound motions - you’ll help shape how we go to market, refine our messaging, and establish Breadcrumb as a credible partner in the construction industry.

What you’ll do

  • Own outbound prospecting across email, phone and LinkedIn, generating qualified meetings with construction decision-makers.
  • Target mid-market and enterprise accounts, engaging stakeholders including operations leaders, safety directors and project leadership.
  • Execute thoughtful, account-based outreach strategies aligned with our ideal customer profile.
  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns, events and partnerships, assessing fit, urgency and buying process.
  • Run discovery conversations and hand off high-quality opportunities to Account Executives with strong context and insight.
  • Consistently hit (and aim to exceed) monthly activity, meeting and pipeline targets.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives and regional leadership to align on accounts, messaging and follow-up strategy.
  • Maintain accurate activity, lead and opportunity data in HubSpot.
  • Share feedback from the field to help refine messaging, ICP definition and overall go-to-market motion.
  • Build deep product and industry knowledge, learning how to sell into complex, multi-stakeholder construction organizations.
  • Contribute ideas to improve outreach, tooling and sales processes as we scale the US business.

What you’ll bring

  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and handling objections.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn the construction environment and its key players.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High levels of organization and time management in a target-driven role.
  • Comfort working closely with Sales, Marketing and Leadership in a fast-moving environment.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset - you enjoy building, testing and improving, not just following scripts.

Bonus

  • Experience selling into construction, industrial or adjacent industries.
  • Experience in a high-growth or early-stage SaaS environment.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM tools.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • We’re an ambitious, high-performing team-building technology that makes a difference.
  • You will have the opportunity to truly own your craft with autonomy.
  • Make a visible impact - as the US is a new market for us, there is an opportunity to make your mark on our CS processes, people and success there.
  • The genuine opportunity to thrive personally and professionally in a supportive, collaborative environment that values balance and wellbeing.
  • We invest in our teams’ well-being and professional development with support that includes paid mental health days off, an EAP, and annual individual professional and personal growth funding.
  • Flexibility to work remotely.
  • A culture that values curiosity, innovation, and doing great work together to achieve collective success.

  • ESOP
  • Medical Benefits
