Great Lakes Honda Akron HR Intern

Overview
The HR Intern supports people operations, onboarding, scheduling, and internal organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with onboarding paperwork and employee files
  • Support scheduling and timekeeping organization
  • Help coordinate training sessions
  • Assist with employee communications
  • Support recruiting efforts (job postings, interview scheduling)
  • Observe dealership compliance and workplace policies

  • College student in HR, business, management, or psychology
  • Detail-oriented and professional
  • Comfortable handling confidential information

Responsibilities

  • Assist with screening and scheduling interviews
  • Support onboarding and new hire documentation
  • Coordinate weekly training sessions and track attendance
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives
  • Maintain confidential HR files
  • Complete a final HR improvement project presentation

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university program (HR, Business, Organizational Leadership, or related field preferred)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Professional and discreet with confidential information
  • Access to reliable transportation (car access preferred)
  • Ability to work one Saturday per month (required)
  • Available full-time from June 1 – August 14
