Bilingual Administrative Assistant
The Opportunity
We are looking for a professional, detail-oriented Bilingual Administrative Assistant to serve as a vital link between our local Georgia operations and our Japanese headquarters/expatriate leadership. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a "bridge" position—translating not just words, but business culture and expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Language & Cultural Liaison: Provide high-level Japanese/English interpretation for meetings and daily communication between local staff and Japanese expatriates.
- Documentation: Translate internal documents, emails, and technical reports from Japanese to English and vice versa with a high degree of accuracy.
- Expatriate Support: Assist Japanese staff and their families with relocation logistics, local vendor coordination, and general administrative needs.
- Office Operations: Manage calendars, travel arrangements, and coordinate meetings (using MS Outlook/Teams).
- Project Coordination: Assist in organizing company events, customer visits, and special Japanese-themed hospitality initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual Proficiency: Near-native or business-level fluency in both Japanese and English (JLPT N2 or N1 preferred).
- Cultural Competence: A deep understanding of Japanese business etiquette (Omotenashi, Keigo) and the ability to navigate Western workplace dynamics.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with SAP or ERP systems is a plus.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and attention to detail.
