Marketing Intern
This position is responsible for representing Blaze at community events – including parades, festivals, golf outings, and St. Paul Saints games. They will also be responsible for assisting in various marketing efforts, including event planning, digital marketing, content creation, promotional product inventory, care package distribution, and general administrative support.
This internship runs from May 2026 through May 2027, covering both summer and the 2026–2027 academic year. Interns will work approximately 30–35 hours per week during the summer and 15–20 hours per week during the academic year. Weekly hours are determined by departmental needs, with flexibility provided to accommodate academic schedules.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Represent Blaze at community events as a brand ambassador
- Support event planning and execution, including setup, distributing promotional materials, capturing photos and video, and providing post-event insights
- Contribute to the planning and coordination of the summer Young Adult Advisory Council event
- Execute social media strategies that grow engagement and elevate the Blaze brand across all platforms
- Manage and curate the social media content calendar, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand voice
- Monitor and respond promptly to comments and direct messages, route reviews and recommendations in accordance with the Blaze Online Reviews & Recommendation Process
- Develop and produce digital content for multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with internal teams and creative partners to ensure messaging aligns with overall marketing goals and brand standards
- Partner with Blaze collaborators on digital campaigns and activations to increase brand awareness and maximize partnership impact
- Conceptualize, capture, and edit engaging photo and video content that reflects Blaze’s core values
- Assist with the assembly and distribution of promotional and community care packages
- Support marketing inventory management and organization of storerooms
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the marketing team
Other Duties
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

- Regular and predictable attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned to support effective department operation
- Travel to any of Blaze’s 28 branch locations/communities for support as needed
Requirements
Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses
- Minimum High School degree or equivalent
- Enrolled in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a similar undergraduate field of study
- Knowledgeable in social media trends and Microsoft Office applications
- A valid driver’s license without restrictions is required for this role
Demonstrated Knowledge
Engaging conversational skills are desired. Work involves being a Blaze ambassador by interacting closely with members, potential new members, and individuals both inside and outside of the credit union.

Communication Skills
Ability to interact/respond to members/staff to problem solve based on a general ‘script’; written communications are based on templates but can be modified. Engaging conversational communication skills are desired.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and stand; interact with internal staff and public in person and on the phone; travel to designated sites. Must be able to walk and stand for several hours at a time, lift up to 40 pounds, bend, with the ability to work outside in rain, cold or heat.
- Opportunities to wear mascot costume – must be able to safely handle the weight of the costume and its confines.
