Marketing and Special Events Coordinator – Full Time, Monday – Friday, 8am-4pm
The Center for Prevention of Abuse (CFPA) is seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a full-time Marketing and Special Events Coordinator. Our mission at CFPA is to help all people live free from violence and abuse, and our Marketing and Special Events Coordinator is essential in bringing that mission to life.
The Marketing and Special Events Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and participating in all aspects of special events, fundraisers, and other CFPA marketing projects to increase awareness and to generate financial support for the agency's mission. The schedule is Full Time, Monday – Friday, 8am-4pm, and does require occasional weekends or holidays. Schedule may also vary to accommodate events as well.
The Marketing and Special Events Coordinator collaborates with the Director of Marketing and Communications in the planning, development, promotion, and execution of agency marketing, communications, and fundraising activities. This includes coordinating the planning, promotion, and execution of special fundraising and awareness events, including CFPA’s signature annual Duck Race fundraiser and monthly awareness campaigns addressing Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, Elder Abuse, Sexual Assault, Child Abuse, Bullying Prevention, Teen Dating Violence, and related issues.
The Marketing and Special Events Coordinator will cultivate and maintain positive relationships with event sponsors, community partners, and volunteers by developing targeted email campaigns, specialized letters, sponsor communications, and customized outreach materials. In partnership with the Director of Marketing and Communications, they will support CFPA’s social media presence by assisting with content creation, campaign development, posting, and maintaining social media calendars as needed. They will represent CFPA at community events, outreach opportunities, and educational activities to promote awareness of the agency’s mission and services.
The Marketing and Special Events Coordinator will assist the Director of Marketing and Communications with media and public relations efforts, including staffing media events, coordinating press at fundraisers, and supporting media requests. Collaborate with the Senior Design & Communications Coordinator to develop creative assets and promotional materials for special events, fundraisers, and campaigns. They will also work directly with Volunteer & Donations Coordinator to recruit volunteers for special events and to create targeted communications using donor and volunteer databases.
The Marketing and Special Events Coordinator will assist with the collection, tracking, and acknowledgment of donations related to events and campaigns. Also, they will maintain accurate data and timely documentation for agency and funding source reports and ensure confidentiality of agency information.
As a CFPA team member, they will demonstrate behaviors reflecting CFPA’s Guiding Principles and Code of Ethics including working cooperatively with other staff and volunteers in a team approach. Also, assume additional responsibilities as requested by the Director of Marketing and Communications and the Chief Executive Officer.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in marketing, communications, special event planning and execution preferred. Great organizational skills and attention to details, ability to multi-task.
Excellent computer skills: a working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications, e-mail communication, and web browsing; comfortable within Windows Operating System and learning new applications.
Must provide own transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance required.
Also, must be available to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends.
