Detailing Coordinator – Job Description

• Represent EMW at the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
• Serve as the Point of Contact between EMW and our various detailing services
• Report to Sr. Estimator and Project Managers
• Coordinate and Support estimating efforts in pursuit of new work opportunities
  • Monitor EMW’s bid schedule and the development of Esti-Models from the detailers
  • Ensure that Esti-Models are delivered in advance of bid dates
  • Review Esti-Models upon receipt and confirm scope matches Contract Documents
  • Notify detailers of scope adjustments if/when necessary
  • Review Contract Documents for “specialty” conditions that require special consideration for detailing and pricing
  • Develop Esti-models in Tekla for small projects as necessary
• Develop detailed Turnover packages for awarded projects
  • Upon award, notify detailers to proceed with shop drawings
  • Develop detailed summary of scope for Turnover to EMW Project Managers. 
  • Highlight contract drawings and details to illustrate scope and quantities 
• Monitor the detailers progress on shop drawing submittal packages
  • Ensure detailers are delivering shop drawings in sufficient time to support the project schedule 
  • Review shop drawing submissions to ensure they accurately capture the scope of work
  • Review shop drawing submissions to ensure they accurately reflect EMW standard details
  • Notify detailers of adjustments to details if/when necessary to maximize the efficiency of shop production and/or field erection.
• Coordinate with the Production Team and our detailing services to maximize the efficiency of Tekla EPM production software.
