Director of Softball
The applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties while employed at In The Net, Inc.
Softball Tournaments
- Plan, schedule, promote, and execute indoor & outdoor youth softball tournaments, and showcase events
- Event set-up and tear-down / field maintenance / field lining / grounds care during tournament play
- Perform on-site tournament director role during tournaments, and being accessible to staff and tournament teams outside of standard operating hours. Provide all communication to teams before, during, and after the tournament. Understand and use tournament hosting websites for registration and scheduling purposes
- Communicate with tournament sanctioning organizations to implement policies and rules, as well as their respective umpire assignors to effectively schedule umpires
- Complete annual audit and evaluation of tournament schedule, number of tournaments, number of team registrations, and quality/feedback of umpires
- Complete monthly team surveys requesting feedback about tournament experience
Camps / Clinics / Programs / Teams
- Create, promote, organize and run softball camps and clinics
- Recruit and work with softball instructors and coaches
- Assist with creating, approving and implementing instructor run camps & clinics
- Recruit new players for lessons, camps and clinics
- Maintain expected standards within the softball community
General Responsibilities
- Secure new teams/organizations to use the facility for camps/clinics/tournaments/leagues
- Oversee and supervise staff while activities are taking place
- General facility supervision
- Communicate the rules and policies of the facility renting organizations and league/tournament teams
- Assist with running and instructing current sports programs and camps
- Improve relationships with current youth facility users and increase their facility usage
- Submit monthly and annual post event reports
- Assist with capturing and creating content for social media purposes
- Assist with other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Must be willing to have a flexible schedule and to work nights and weekends on a regular basis
- 40-45 hour work week
