Marketing Assistant

Position is located at 701 South Main Street in Joplin, Missouri.

Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm and the flexibility to work additional hours as needed.

 

SUMMARY:  Under general supervision and direction of the Marketing manager, the Marketing Assistant is accountable for providing assistance to the department in all aspects of merchandizing, promotions, advertising bank services, events, and reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Using materials developed by Arvest Central Advertising, organize advertisements, brochures, flyers, signage and merchandizing lobbies for various branches.
  2. Organize and distribute promotional materials for various new programs or events.
  3. Provide assistance with various CRA projects, such as setting up display booths, letters to the community, flyers, etc.
  4. Coordinate approval process for Press Releases and assigned marketing communications.
  5. May provide assistance with the coordination of Lunch and Learns, Sales and Service Rallies, and other events designed to educate, acknowledge, and reward associates.
  6. Oversee specialty item transactions for the bank.
  7. Review and deliver budget reports for Marketing Manager.
  8. Coordinate invoices and process OTE transactions to allocate expenses as needed.
  9. Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

  • Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that will improve profitability and efficiency for the bank's overall operation.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Two years’ administrative experience required. In banking preferred.
  • One year marketing support experience preferred.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Arvest experience preferred.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • The incumbent must be knowledgeable in the use of a personal computer, CRT, typewriter, and calculator
  • The incumbent should also possess strong written/verbal communication skills, human relations, and advertising skills
  • Must be able to arrive at work on time, work on site and have regular work attendance
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with other co-workers regardless of personality, presence or communication style
  • Must be able to provide cordial customer service regardless of customer personality, presence or communication style

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and to talk and hear.  The associate must occasionally reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The incumbent must be able to travel occasionally by themselves within the US, including overnight, and via automobile and air.

Pay Range: $17.80 - $22.20 per hour
