Summer Teacher
The Hardy Center is seeking 8 Summer Teachers to lead grade-level classrooms (Kindergarten through 8th grade), with approximately 15 students per class. Teachers will provide structured morning instruction (2.5 hours daily) and support students during afternoon activities and enrichment programming.
We are hiring one teacher for each of the following grade groups: K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th–8th.
Responsibilities:
Follow the provided curriculum plan and create detailed daily lesson plans
Post assignments and assessments to MicrosoftEducation platform
Ensure lesson plans meet program requirements and align with Ohio Learning Standards
Administer and track pre- and post-assessment and assignment data for all students
Conduct regular in-class assessments to monitor academic progress
Conduct small groups and catch students up on missing work during intervention time
Guide students in completing a final end-of-summer project
Implement and consistently use our classroom management system
Supervise and support students during afternoon activities and transitions
Qualifications:
Experience working with elementary or middle school students preferred
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Ability to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction
Detail-oriented with data tracking and documentation
