Production Planner
General Responsibility:
Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing job orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal schedules and customer delivery dates. This is a fast paced and visible position that will require the ability to adjust on the fly and deal with constant change.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize Infor Cloudsuite Industrial (CSI)/Syteline Enterprise Resource Planner (ERP) to manage the production work flow
- Review ERP planning workbench, releasing jobs to the shop to support internal and external due dates
- Coordinate with the Plant Manager and Shop Foreman on the production schedule and release of jobs, expediting jobs as required
- Generate manufacturing job orders, pick lists, and print drawing packets for the shop
- Process job material transactions within CSI
- Create and modify job Bills of Manufacturing (BOMs) as needed to expedite flow through the shop
- Coordinate with engineering on any required changes to standard BOMs
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Education, Reasoning ability, and or Experience:
- Formal education and/or proven track record in work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to use and apply problem-solving techniques and analytical skills
- Knowledge of and proficiency in using computers and software
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and work with fractions
- Knowledge of ERP software (CSI/Syteline is a plus), MS Excel, Word, Outlook & Teams
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques; prior manufacturing production experience not required but is beneficial
Communication and Language skills:
Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to maintain a positive work attitude while performing assigned duties. Must be a team player able to converse and interact with supervisors, co-workers, and shop personnel.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach, squat, and talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lifts/moves 20 pounds.
