Photo and Video Intern

Summary

Olympia Fields Country Club is seeking a creative individual with strong camera skills to join its Communications Department as a Video and Photo Intern. You will support Olympia Fields Country Club's season by assisting with photos and videos, and enhancing Olympia Fields archives and digital presence. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Assist in creating content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn)
  • Shoot video during golf events for sizzle reels and short-form event recaps
  • Take photos at golf and racquet events (foursome, group, and trophy photos)
  • Assist Communications Manager with video content that includes interviews for long-form content
  • Scan and archive historical images
  • Organize and manage visual assets in Cloud Storage to support other departments

 

Experience and Eligibility

  • Pursuing a degree in Communications, Videography, Photography, Media Production, or New Media
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator), Capcut, Final Cut Pro, or Microsoft 365
  • A portfolio highlighting your previous work
  • Experience shooting video and photo with camera equipment
  • Familiarity with DSLR or Sony Alpha cameras
  • Interest in sports photography (golf and racquet sports) or food and beverage is a plus
  • Previous internship experience in a media setting preferred
  • Comfortable interacting with members, staff, and vendors
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
  • Experience in social media is a plus

 

Expected Work Hours

  • Flexible schedule, ranging from 20-30 hours per week
  • Should be open to a flexible schedule in accordance with business needs that include a few weekends during the summer

  • Hourly Rate is $17.00
