TikTok Social Media Manager Intern

Need intern hours for graduation? We’re looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial TikTok Social Media Manager Intern to build and manage our TikTok presence from the ground up. This role is equal parts content strategist, creator, and growth driver. You’ll own the platform, launch TikTok Shop, develop our affiliate strategy, and establish clear KPIs tied to visibility and revenue.

This is a high-impact role with direct access to leadership and real ownership. You'll gain valuable experience moving beyond a content creator to managing an account as Rare Breed Coffee launches into Sprouts. 

Key Responsibilities

1. TikTok Account Management @drinkrarebreed

  • Own day-to-day management of Rare Breed Coffee’s TikTok account
  • Develop and execute a weekly content calendar (3–5 posts per week)
  • Create and edit short-form video content aligned with brand voice
  • Identify trends, sounds, and formats relevant to coffee and lifestyle audiences
  • Engage with followers and respond to comments to build community

 

2. TikTok Shop Setup & Launch

  • Set up and optimize TikTok Shop
  • Upload and optimize product listings (titles, descriptions, imagery, keywords)
  • Coordinate product tagging within content
  • Develop and execute a launch plan to drive initial sales

 

3. Affiliate Program Development

  • Create and manage an affiliate program using TikTok Creator Marketplace
  • Identify and recruit aligned content creators
  • Manage outreach, onboarding, and commission structure
  • Track affiliate performance and optimize partnerships
  • Develop systems to scale creator relationships over time

 

4. KPI Development & Reporting, Establish platform KPIs focused on:

  • Follower growth
  • Engagement rate
  • Video views and reach
  • Conversion rate
  • TikTok Shop revenue
  • Affiliate-driven revenue & ROI
  • Build a simple monthly dashboard tracking visibility and commission ROI
  • Provide bi-weekly performance summaries with optimization recommendations

Qualifications

  • Active TikTok user with strong understanding of platform trends and culture
  • Experience creating short-form video content (portfolio required)
  • Familiarity with TikTok Shop and/or affiliate marketing preferred
  • Analytical mindset with ability to track and interpret performance data
  • Self-starter who can work independently and manage deadlines
  • Interest in coffee, CPG brands, or lifestyle brands a plus
