Social Media Intern

We’re looking for a marketing intern who understands that social media isn’t about vanity metrics — it’s about pipeline, influence, and closed dealer revenue.

 

Your Mission

Build, execute, and optimize social media strategies that generate qualified leads from Used Car Departments and Vehicle Acquisition Managers — converting to closed dealer accounts.

 

Expanded Social Media Responsibilities

This role goes beyond posting. You will help build and operate CarDr’s social growth engine.

Strategy & Platform Growth

  • Develop and execute a LinkedIn-first B2B growth strategy
  • Support expansion into Instagram, Facebook, and short-form video platforms
  • Identify dealership-focused communities and industry groups
  • Build audience growth strategy targeting:
    • Used Car Managers
    • Sales Managers
    • General Managers
    • Dealer Principals

 

Content Creation & Creative Direction

  • Write high-converting LinkedIn posts (educational, authority, ROI-driven)
  • Create short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, LinkedIn video)
  • Develop:
    • Carousel posts
    • Infographics
    • Data-driven visuals
    • Dealer pain-point hooks
  • Assist with scripting and filming in-office video content
  • Capture behind-the-scenes startup and product content
  • Repurpose long-form content into micro-content

 

Campaign Management

  • Launch and manage organic content calendar
  • Assist with paid LinkedIn and Meta ad campaigns
  • A/B test headlines, visuals, and CTAs
  • Monitor engagement from dealership job titles
  • Optimize campaigns based on lead quality

 

Engagement & Social Selling Support

  • Monitor and respond to comments and DMs
  • Identify high-value prospects engaging with posts
  • Support personalized DM outreach strategy
  • Coordinate warm leads to sales team
  • Track conversations that lead to demos and closed deals

 

Analytics & Performance Optimization

  • Track:
    • Engagement by job title
    • Click-through rates
    • Cost per lead
    • Cost per acquisition
  • Build weekly performance reports
  • Recommend improvements based on real data
  • Eliminate underperforming content quickly

 

Brand Positioning & Competitive Monitoring

  • Monitor competitor social activity
  • Identify messaging gaps
  • Test bold positioning strategies
  • Help strengthen CarDr’s voice as an authority in Used Car acquisition strategy

 

What Success Looks Like

  • Increased engagement from Used Car decision-makers
  • Consistent demo bookings from social
  • Clear attribution to closed dealer deals
  • Measurable cost per acquisition
  • A repeatable social-driven acquisition system

 

Ideal Candidate

  • Marketing / Business major (Junior or Senior preferred)
  • Strong understanding of LinkedIn and short-form video trends
  • Confident writing persuasive B2B messaging
  • Comfortable being on camera
  • Analytical and data-driven
  • Competitive, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Interest in automotive or dealership operations is a strong plus

 

Compensation

Base: $15–$18 per hour (20-25 Hrs/week)

 

Performance Bonus:

Paid only on closed dealer deals directly influenced by intern-driven campaigns.

$250–$500 per closed dealer account (can scale based on contract value).
