Position Duties: Carry out all sales activities to achieve defined commercial objectives for the eAxle product line. Manage and direct sales of the eAxle product line in the Americas region, overseeing quotations, negotiations, definition of prices, sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting. Implement a strategy to increase Schaeffler’s market share, revenue and gross profit. Contribute to the budget planning process, and plan own revenues and customer prospects for the eAxle product line or another assigned Business Unit. Develop and maintain customer relationships to materialize business opportunities. Consult with clients on the available product assortment, its potential applications and possible variances to best meet customer requirements. Prepare and conduct negotiations (in terms of applicable product assortment, quantities, pricing, and other commercial conditions) and close the contract. Collect, evaluate and report information about market trends, technologies, customers and competitors offering. Coordinate multiple business units, including those responsible for product design, costing, financial analysis, executive review/communication, quote creation, key account management, purchasing, product development, quality, and others. Oversee resolution of commercial customer issues, providing assurances to customers and issuing the necessary directives to ensure follow-through on resolution of the customer commercial complaints and issues. Conduct managerial assessment of sales performance, financial forecasting, and market trends, and make the decisions necessary to obtain maximum Original Equipment sales and Profit for the eAxle business unit. Ensure professional and effective communication campaigns and communication with customers which showcase Schaeffler's worldwide capabilities.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the position offered, as a Sales Specialist or a related position. Must have two (2) years of experience with: Resolving customer service issues in the context that includes international production and supply chain for the automotive industry; Preparing financial forecasts, budgets, sales analyses; Maintaining Sales databases and SAP systems; Recording, extracting, and analyzing data in SAP; Sales of technical automotive products; Experience with critical components in vehicle drivetrains and the automotive manufacturing industry; Preparing customer quotations and overseeing quotations process from inquiry to submittal utilizing SAP, RFQ database, and Windchill RV&S; and Using customer portals to download purchase orders and RFQ packages and respond to RFQs. 20% travel required, domestic and international, to various and unanticipated Schaeffler locations and client sites. Telecommuting permitted two (2) days per week.
