SLWC MEDIA DIRECTOR
Job Description
Silver Lake Wesleyan Camp (SLWC) hires a Media Director every summer to manage the audio/visual needs of camp. We look for individuals who are hard workers, engaged participants, and can follow direction. A full summer at Silver Lake is generally 8 weeks starting the last week of June. Week one is staff training where the staff gain new and refresher training. Some training includes WHMIS, introductions to Intervention, Child Protection, as well as Mental Health and Well-Being. Wage offers are made based on years of service, experience and qualifications, which will be outlined in your Staff Offer Package
Summary of Qualifications
● Minimum age 17
● Active model of Christian faith in their church or community
● Could be described as gracious, attentive, and accountable
● Able to follow direction
● Effective time management skills
● Ability to work long hours if necessary
● Willing to be a team player
● Experience with video editing software (eg. Premier Pro, Final Cut, etc)
● Experience with camera and supportive equipment (eg. DSLR, stabilization
equipment, drones etc.)
● Experience with audio/visual equipment (eg. sound boards, pro Presenter,
etc)
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)
● Manage the Sunday Service (This includes set-up and tear down)
● Run the Audio/Visual for camp services
● Manage Audio/Video requirements for all departments
● Work with rental groups to make sure their A/V needs are met
● Be able to work with staff members of every department
● Capture (film) events from each week of camp and put them together for a
highlight video for each camp
● Close the Tabernacle or other areas with A/V equipment every night
● Be flexible (Media requires you to do a bit of everything at camp)
